    Width of the confinement-induced resonance in a quasi-one-dimensional trap with transverse anisotropy

    We theoretically study the width of the s-wave confinement-induced resonance (CIR) in quasi-one-dimensional atomic gases under tunable transversely anisotropic confinement. We find that the width of the CIR can be tuned by varying the transverse anisotropy. The change in the width of the CIR can manifest itself in the position of the discontinuity in the interaction energy density, which can be probed experimentally.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, update references, published versio

    This paper presents an overview of evaluation of ISTCP in China. We discuss briefly the history of evaluation and the strengths and weaknesses of different assessment systems. On this basis, with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), we establish evaluation indicator system for ISTCP that includes research project establishment evaluation, mid-period evaluation system, effect evaluation system, and confirm the value of each indicator. At the same time, we established expert database, project database, research organization database, researcher database etc. We therefore establish an evaluation platform for international science and technology cooperation project. We use it to realize full process supervision from evaluation expert selection to project management

    The geometry of the Thurston metric: a survey

    This paper is a survey about the Thurston metric on the Teichm\"uller space. The central issue is the constructions of extremal Lipschitz maps between hyperbolic surfaces. We review several constructions, including the original work of Thurston. Coarse geometry and isometry rigidity of the Thurston metric, relation between the Thurston metric and the Thurston compactification are discussed.     Opportunistic Relaying in Time Division Broadcast Protocol with Incremental Relaying

    In this paper, we investigate the performance of time division broadcast protocol (TDBC) with incremental relaying (IR) when there are multiple available relays. Opportunistic relaying (OR), i.e., the “best” relay is select for transmission to minimize the system’s outage probability, is proposed. Two OR schemes are presented. The first scheme, termed TDBC-OIR-I, selects the “best” relay from the set of relays that can decode both flows of signal from the two sources successfully. The second one, termed TDBC-OIR-II, selects two “best” relays from two respective sets of relays that can decode successfully each flow of signal. The performance, in terms of outage probability, expected rate (ER), and diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT), of the two schemes are analyzed and compared with two TDBC schemes that have no IR but OR (termed TDBC-OR-I and TDBC-OR-II accordingly) and two other benchmark OR schemes that have no direct link transmission between the two sources
